So the guys at FMC (The Green River Job) called back and said that they changed their minds and they want an interview with Jon on Thursday. I will update and let you know how that goes when we find out. So that's always a good sign. Maybe that was just a trial of our faith. I sure hope so, I've heard very good things about Green River from everyone that has lived there. The only negative thing that I've heard is the weather is terrible (real bad in the winter). I decided that I can live with stupid weather much better than I can live with stupid people. And Jon and I get to go by ourselves...yeah for Aunt Tamina. We'll see how that goes. Chris I'm sure will be alright. I think Ethan will have a rough time, but it will help that Christopher is there with him at least. I think that Mommy will have a rough time too. Aside from in the hospital with Christopher when I had to go home without him when he was born, I've never left the kids over night before. At least this time I know he will have competent people watching over him. In the hospital I was less than confident about that; some nurses just should have chosen a different occupation I think. I know it'll be rough on Mommy, but I will survive.
So the other night Chris and I were doing our night-time singing. I just taught him "The wise man and the foolish man" so he really likes that song now. I was laughing so hard when I got to the part about "...the house on the sand washed away." Chris looks up and me and says "Mom? His HOUSE washed away?" I said "Yep, his house washed away." Chris says "Oh, shoot." That kid cracks me up. He was worried for quite a while over that poor guys house washing away.
While we were shopping the other day Chris picked up a "Lightning McQueen Phone" and he was talking on it, like he'd seen Dad doing on his phone. Then he stuck it in his pocket 'cause that's what Dad does with his. I thought it was cute that Jon bought the phone for him because Jon isn't the "impulse buyer" type. Despite the "tough guy" thing he does when it comes to making sure his boys are always doing what they are supposed to, I think he just has a soft spot in his heart when he sees his boys copying what they've seen him do. I thought it was very cute of both them. Then on the way out I heard Christopher taking to "Lightning" he'd been talking for quite a while then I noticed he was saying the same thing over and over so I listened to see what he was saying. He was saying "I really like you...I HATE Thomas." (Thomas the train, it's his second favorite thing next to Lightning McQueen). Ranee' you're pretty much right, we never stop laughing around here with these 3 boys living here. But I really love it that way.
