I love to have Ethan as part of our family. He keeps me laughing all the time. He has the most contagious laugh. He reminds me of David when he was a baby. ;) He was so excited about his Elmo cake. I might post a picture if I remember. He ate a lot of the cake...and cake isn't his favorite thing, he rarely will eat cake...but he was so happy that it was Elmo that he just kept eating for as long as I let him. We were in the store on his birthday (I always seem to lose my cake tips when it's someone's birthday, so we had to go buy some...don't worry I will find it in a day or two when I don't need it I'm sure) ;) and there was a lady that was talking to the boys. Ethan has gotten REALLY friendly since Justin was born...he has to say "hi" to EVERYONE as we pass them in the store, I think it's cute. Anywho, she asked how old the boys were and Topher said "I'm three!" and Ethan said "I'm ONE!" Topher started yelling at Ethan saying, "NO YOU'RE NOT! IT'S YOUR BIRTHDAY! NOW YOU ARE TWO!" And Ethan was arguing that he was only one...it was funny. Then she asked if they were twins...I get that alot, I guess Ethan is just big for his age. I thought it was a funny time to ask right after Topher said he was three and Ethan was two, but I guess she didn't catch that part. ;)
I am so grateful that Heavenly Father sent Ethan to be a part of our family. He's one of the blessings of mercy, I think, because I know I never did anything so good that I had a blessing like him coming to me.
